FISHING LICENSE: You do not need a license on sport fishing charters in Hawaii. However, we are required to have a commercial fishing license, and you are covered under us.
FISHING EQUIPMENT: We will provide all of the fishing tackle and gear on our sportfishing charters.
FISHING ROUTE: There is no specific fishing route. All Oahu fishing charters are different depending on weather patterns, recent catch locations, and other factors. With years of experience fishing in Hawaii, we use state-of-the-art navigational equipment as well as our knowledge of the ocean to provide you the best opportunity to catch fish.
TYPES OF FISH: You will see a wide variety of fish species, including marlin, ahi (yellowfin tuna), ono (wahoo), and mahimahi, barracuda, and many more.
FISH POLICY: The crew will fillet your fish for you. Our goal is to provide your party with 40 pounds of whole fish or 20 pounds of filets. Kindly understand that we do not cut any fish over 100 pounds as we cannot sell the fish after it has been cut. However, we do our best to catch fish for you to bring back and enjoy. We have ziplock bags to put the fish in, but we recommend bringing a cooler to keep your fish fresh during your drive back home or to your hotel.
MOTION SICKNESS: Motion sickness medications should be taken the night before and once again the morning of your trip. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for recommendations. If your party wishes to return to the dock early, there will be no refunds.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS: Beer is permitted on the trip. No liquor, please. Beer MUST be canned, NO bottles are permitted per Coast Guard regulations. Please limit your alcohol consumption. We believe 100% in being safe and responsible on the water. Absolutely NO DRUGS of ANY sort! Any trips cut short from alcohol or drugs will not be issued a refund.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
1. Cancellations can be made, with no penalty, up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled day of your trip. Your deposit money will be refunded or placed toward a rescheduled trip, whichever you request.
2. Cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled trip will be subject to 100% forfeit of deposit of trip if not rescheduled to another date.
3. No Shows of the scheduled trip will result in a 100% forfeit of deposit and the remaining balance will be charged on the credit card provided.
4. We retain the right to reschedule or cancel any bookings that may be due to governmental rulings due to COVID-19.
WEATHER: The Captain is constantly following current weather/sea conditions and future forecasting. If the Captain deems seas not conducive to safe fishing conditions, the Captain may cancel the trip. If the Captain cancels the trip, you will be issued a refund of your deposit or credit toward a future booking, whichever you prefer. In many instances we will contact our client prior to a trip to bring you up to speed on conditions. If the client opts to cancel due to seas that may prove uncomfortable, your deposit can be applied to a future trip.
